NANJING, Oct. 29 -- The 11th International Army Cadets Week (IACW) organized by the Army Engineering University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) kicked off on Monday afternoon in Nanjing City, east China's Jiangsu Province. Cadets from 16 military academies of such countries as Argentina, Egypt, Italy, Pakistan, and Singapore will be organized into mixed groups with Chinese PLA Army cadets to participate in training and exchange activities for one week.
The theme of this year's IACW is "How to become a competent junior commander for future warfare". During the event, the Chinese and foreign cadets will have discussions focusing on topics such as "AI and military command" and "challenges posed by future warfare to junior officers", and participate in the leadership challenge and live-fire shooting training in teams.
Since its initiation in 2005, the IACW has been successfully held for 10 sessions, playing a positive role in promoting mutual understanding and trust between Chinese and foreign military academies and deepening international exchanges and cooperation in military education.
