BEIJING, Nov. 1-- Affected by the remnant vortex of Typhoon Trami and cold air, heavy rainfall continued to assault Qionghai city in China's southernmost island province of Hainan. In addition, reservoirs such as the Niululing Reservoir have continued to discharge floodwaters, which has put tremendous pressure on flood prevention and control. At around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a naval aviation unit under the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command dispatched more than 40 military members and over 10 vehicles to Qionghai Bureau of Emergency Management to assist in transferring rescue supplies, in a bid to effectively protect the safety of people's lives and property.
